Sources and licence

Every external fact carries its original URL, how it is used, and its copyright status

Under what licence this site's content is published

CC BY-SA 4.0 (Attribution — ShareAlike 4.0 International).

One detail is worth spelling out: people often say in conversation that "the repository is CC BY", but the repository's LICENSE file is actually Attribution-ShareAlike 4.0 International — that is, CC BY-SA 4.0, with the extra ShareAlike condition. The text of this site is largely rewritten and excerpted from that repository, so this site is also published under CC BY-SA 4.0 (not the more permissive CC BY 4.0), to stay consistent. If you reuse text from this site, credit "weloveinterns.org" and keep the same licence.1

Where the material comes from and how it is handled

  • All diagrams are drawn here: the "support-system loop" on the home page and the Five-Colour Stone page is an SVG drawn for this site, with its structure following page 44 of the CCF talk; no screenshots, no reproduced images;
  • No third-party images and no web fonts: the favicon is a hand-drawn SVG, and the type uses the system font stack;
  • No full reproductions: WeChat articles, talk scripts and papers are summarised and briefly quoted, with a link to the original;
  • Data quoted ≤ the conclusion: for papers and surveys only the statistical conclusions in their public abstracts are cited (with definitions and dates), and the scope of those conclusions is stated — for example, the authors of the Stanford paper themselves describe their findings as "descriptive indicators, not causal estimates";
  • How the talks are handled: the two talk PDFs were provided to this site by their author, and are used only to restate the speaker's own views;
  • Names and endorsements: intern entries include only material made public in the repository with the person's agreement or by their own PR; endorsement numbers link directly to Project Jiachen's public repository.

Citation list

Ordered by the superscript numbers in the text. The "usage" column says how this site uses each item; the "licence" column states the material's copyright status and how this site handles it in compliance.
