First, the rules of this list
This page is taken from the repository's outstanding-interns.md. It includes only students whose effective internship lasted more than 3 months and who agreed to appear or submitted the PR themselves; those who did not agree are not written in, so many interns who have since graduated and started work, but missed this page when it was created, are not on the list.1
There are only two categories: LV4+ (Great Ability / Super Ability) and senior interns. The "endorsement" link after each entry points to Project Jiachen's mutual-recognition talent network; every endorsement is publicly verifiable on GitHub.5

Senior interns
senior is not an honorary title but a contract: technical ability at LV3 or above, taking on decisions in the team, bringing new students along and handling unplanned events — and then the stipend is never below the baseline, only above it.1

Community project contributors
This section lists students who have no LV level but were named by the lead — unlike the graded list above, it looks only at what they have actually built in upstream communities.
| Name | GitHub | Community and projects |
|---|---|---|
| MikuNotFoundException | @Officeyutong | Worked on several projects in the eunomia-bpf community, including bpftime , eunomia-bpf and wasm-bpf |
| Huang Zhenyu (Rain Huang) | @rainhuang0220 | Interned on MoonBit development in PLCT Lab 's J139 team; now actively working on long-term memory and context management for LLMs |
In their own words
The first two entries on the list (the robotics period, 2018–2019) keep the interns' own text, which is better than any summary:
During my graduate studies, the internship opened a door to another world for me. Internship life was wonderful, and I gained a wealth of practical experience in robot software development… I also grew and matured quickly, completing the transition from student to employee. I am grateful for that time. A word to the interns who come after: students, reading ten thousand books is not enough — you also have to walk ten thousand miles. Come and intern; the scenery here is different. — An Chuanxu (LV5+)
Besides learning some professional knowledge, during the internship I also picked up skills that have been enormously helpful in later work — using git, team collaboration processes and conventions, coding conventions, how to look things up quickly, and so on. I went from being a novice to making a lot of progress in a short time… Some of my fellow interns are still good friends today. A word to the interns who come after: the clumsy bird flies first, the rookie goes home late; study hard, and ask when you don't understand. — Wang Xiaoyun (LV4)
The people not written in
This list covers only the "more than 3 months + agreed" part. The repository has held 286 files in its history; 253 of them were put away in October 2024, and inside were intern reports from 2021 and earlier — most of their authors are not on this page.
Their names have not disappeared; they just need git checkout 664048d to be found.
